This exhibition reveals a fascinating world of pastel layers, resin reliefs, and inks that converge to create an unparalleled pictorial experience. Deoro, a multifaceted artist who ranges from mosaic to painting and action painting, brings his most recent production to Milan: a series of portraits on paper that capture attention with their powerful expression and drama. Twelve medium- and large-format works offer an intimate look at an era and a West hanging on the brink of collapse.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

At the origin of these portraits is an innate ability to give form to bodies that seem to hold timeless stories<\/mark>, subjects that come to life through a mark that the artist relentlessly imprints on the canvas, almost without taking his eyes off the model. Faces with pronounced features and contorted bodies emerge, upon which the central theme of “Make Up!” unfolds: makeup, understood not only as an aesthetic artifice, but as a human attempt at transformation and aspiration to divinity.<\/p>\n

Through layers of pastel that draw new boundaries and outline new contours, Deoro reveals the fragility of the human soul and the wounds that mark the body and soul.<\/p>\n

Dario Giancane describes Deoro’s portraits as figures suspended between reality and imagination, like “footprints or handprints on rock walls.” These are essential, deeply introspective portraits that challenge the viewer to confront the truth hidden behind appearances. As Giancane points out, is it not the task of art to unveil what is concealed, transforming models into earthly icons or mythical characters?<\/p>\n

“Make Up!” invites visitors to explore the fine line between beauty and truth, between mask and reality, opening a door to the very essence of humanity.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
